Supportive and flattering

These aren't my favourite style, but I wanted something more "modest" when going to the beach with family, and this ticks all the boxes - contains my bum and belly, and flatters my curves. I think the best feature of these briefs is that they don't sit so low on the leg that they cut into my thighs, unlike a traditional retro brief - so if you have wide hips and thicker thighs, these should work well for you. I'm a 12-14 in undies, and got these in a 12.
