Design Assistant & All-Rounder

We are looking for a passionate, creative all-around great person to join our team of VVIBs (Very Very Important Busts). You will be working directly with Sophia, our founder and designer, to develop and plan new RAQ collections. Is this the dream job or what!? This role will evolve as the brand grows and is a great opportunity for development for someone wanting to break into the fashion world and make an impact straight away.

This is the role description, however, we are always open to supporting the right person through learning some of the below skills and responsibilities. We value personality and believe a healthy work environment starts with healthy relationships. We appreciate confident applicants that are willing to step out of their comfort zone.

Skills & Experience

  • Ideally you’re already a member of the RAQ Pack, you understand our struggle and want to help make fashion more inclusive for busty people
  • Creative thinker and solution oriented
  • Organised with great attention to detail 
  • A self-starter who can work well both autonomously, but also in a small team
  • Completed a tertiary education in fashion or textile design, or in final year
  • Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Indesign, Photoshop
  • These are not necessary, but are a huge bonus:
    • Familiar with Excel, video editing experience
    • Experience or knowledge of the technical elements of bra construction/grading


  • Supporting Sophia in delivering collections across multiple categories (swim, sport, loungewear and beachwear)
  • Developing tech packs/drawings
  • Contributing ideas for new styles, colours, prints 
  • Conducting market research and preparing moodboards
  • Maintaining production and sampling calendar including ensuring timely delivery of SMS for fittings and shoots
  • Researching and presenting options for materials and trims, particularly sustainable options
  • Review samples including measuring and suggesting improvements
  • Preparing quality control manuals and assisting in reviews garments for issues
  • Liaising with suppliers
  • Attending development and production fittings
  • Graphic design for website, RAQ Reads, socials, EDMs, ensuring brand guidelines are followed
  • Cropping and exporting photos for website with photoshop  
  • During quiet periods, you may be required to provide support to our customer service and logistics team

The role

  • 15-20 hours per week
  • Based out of our Collingwood head office
  • Flexible hours and ability to work from home from time to time
  • Must be Melbourne based
